Average people, who previously were not interested in state affairs, suddenly became more than concerned with the information Wikileaks provided. Because Julian Assange's organization searches for top secret information the possibility of misunderstanding or manipulation of public opinion became highly probable. For an average person it is impossible to research the truth among piles of documents unveiled by Wikileaks, because of lack of a background to refer to.
On the one hand Wikileaks questions actions of democratic world's greatest superpowers, arise doubts among it's citizens, promotes lack of trust to anything and anyone, based on belief to its own sources, which in most cases remain anonymous. On the other hand it has been reported that Wikileaks put people's life in danger by inexact verification of data uploaded to their servers.
Wikileaks actions arise a great deal of questions concerning ethic and liability in modern world:
- Is it responsible to release classified information, that can have impact on the shape of the world and become a threat to people's life? What were the reasons for which there were not meant to be released to media?
- Is it possible for Wikileaks to predict outcomes of it's actions?
- What is there left trustworthy?
- Are the benefits worth the risk?
- Who is our real enemy?
- Have we became an enemies to ourselves?
